AEV Conversions to explore Iceland

AEV Iceland Commander

AEV Conversions, the company that first gained notoriety building the LWB Wranglers that paved the way for the current Wrangler Unlimited, will be retracing the 1980 National Geographic expedition to Iceland. They’ll be using a group of highly-modified Jeep vehicles, including the two radical rigs shown at SEMA 2005 (the Commander above is one of them, if you hadn’t figured that out). The vehicles will all feature HEMI motors, huge SuperSwamper IROK tires, Warn winches, and a slew of other expedition-ready parts and modifications done by AEV.

The trip is going to be filmed in HD and is supposed to air on the VOOM network. For more info on the trip, the vehicles, and the mods, visit AEV’s Iceland Expedition.
