EarthRoamer XV-JP Interior Photos

EarthRoamer XV-JP

EarthRoamer recently posted a new photo gallery showcasing the interior of their oh-so-cool JK Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited-based XV-JP expedition vehicle. The gallery features 22 photos (the first of which is above) detailing the interior layout and design of the XV-JP. Two things I found interesting were the miniature Warn winch that is used for closing and deploying the canopy and that the space over the cab of the Jeep is actually quite spacious and appears to hold a fair amount of gear.

Check out the XV-JP interior photo gallery here.

Jeep JK - Freedom Roof Leak Repair – My Experience so far. What I have learned:
To keep the Seals working properly on the Jeep (or any car for the matter) every year or more.
    1. Lubricate ALL rubber seals on the Jeep with the PURE Silicone (use GM Dielectric Silicone Sealer Part Number 1-#10953481)
    2. On the back window, always clean off the dirt on the window and rubber gasket – this prevents the water from dripping down.
    3. On the Freedom Top – get LeakPro (the guy fixing my JK) to do the repairs, awesome job.
    4. Get the dealer to look at the TSB’s for the latest repairs.
    5. On the front driver and passenger door, if there is a notch cut out of the front -top corner of the weatherstripping, get the dealer to replace this with a new factory weather strip that does not have the notch cut out. This is what seems to causing the shower when you open the door.
    6. When the LeakPro guy or who ever you get – have them replace all of the foam tape in the Freedon panels (this foam ABSORBS water) with a non-foam tape or high quality silicon. If done right and the panels are not the ones made on the Friday afternoon (look for separation of the panel) this should prevent the water running on the radio and down the drivers and passenger side of the dash
    7. Maybe Jeep will have a recall on these tops and get the stupid things fixed.
    8. Enjoy the Jeep – I still get lots of great comments and envious stares from the FJ and Hummer owners, the others in the Hyundai, Toyotas are not real 4X4ers so they will find the short comings if they ever venture off the road.
