Stevie, you forgot to mention that I did most of the floor cleanup in your garage (aka, loads and loads of powerwashing and stuff)

Which goes back and reiterates my point. You can say your Jeep>Matt's Jeep, but considering the fact that Stevie is doing a good 90% of your front suspension, that doesn't necessarily prove anything about you. And then comes the fact that Stevie is doing the work, so clearly Stevie>James=Matt. Based on Stevie's level of experience I think it's safe to say that Stevie=James+Matt, which through substitution also shows that Stevie=2*James, unless of course we're talking weight, in which case Stevie=James/7. But then if we go back and look at useful weight rather than overall weight we get Stevie=47*James. Applying the useful weight equation to Matt causes a calculation error due to multiplication by 0 because he is in fact worthless.

If I were still there, I'd be doing the work. What you are saying makes it sound like I am in-capable, which needs to be taken into consideration.

You have yet to prove that you're capable so it's a reasonable assumption. Hell, you've never even changed a u-joint

mid day progress. track bar is moced in with a temp bracket, cycled the suspension and everythin looks pretty good.

It's close, but it will work.

slight issue here, going to clearance the "frame" a little here.

The rest of the night will be pulling the front axle out and burning in the mounts and make the real track bar mount.

All my friends that have hondas, regardless of age tend to go through a battery a season here. Battery tender FTW, especially since you guys riding season is much shorter than ours.

now that i think about it my battery in my last honda(599) had the battery go dead in it last winter, and it was only 3 months old when I parked it. at least the season here is longer than houghton MI or VT, last year i was riding well into nov. no such luck this year.

When my friend has his welded on, that's what ended up happening.

Aren't the spring perches on the XJ welded up wrong though? Right now it looks like you could only shorten your wheelbase instead of lengthen it....

There are holes on either side of the center one...I have no idea how that is so hard to see.

He probably thought one of the end holes was the center of the spring perch and that the other 2 were offset in one direction. If I were you I wouldn’t rag on him too much for not seeing the obvious.

haha, yeah 9-15K goes quick, and when you shift to second you are pretty much going fast enough to break almost any speed limit in the country.
